![]() If only there was a way to manually switch Bluetooth on and off. ![]() I ask the experts: is this at all possible? Can Bluetooth stay on when a device is on standby? Hence Bluetooth keeps draining the battery. My wild speculation is that the bluetooth radio is not (completely?) switched off when the HKLM\SOFTWARE\microsoft\bluetooth registry tree is deleted. ![]() Very Happy Without being absolutely sure, it seems to have a big negative impact on the battery life of the device when put on standby. Good news first: after deleting this tree and resetting the machine the Toshiba stack does not crash when putting the PDA on standby. Whenever I do this, the Toshiba stack fails to initialize and I have no Bluetooth at all.ĭeleting the HKLM\SOFTWARE\microsoft\bluetooth tree of entries is a bit less clear. It removes the status icon of the Microsoft stack.ĭo not delete the HKLM\drivers\builtin\bt_router entry. The HKLM\BTIcon registry entry can safely be removed. I played around a bit more concerning registry changes last night. This topic is also being discussed in a different thread - I'll do a bit of cross posting on this occasion
